Return & Refund Policy
At Atelier Bouclier, every piece is a unique work of craftsmanship — handmade to order in my Hong Kong atelier using the finest ethically sourced leathers and traditional techniques. Because each item is created specifically for you, with personalized attention to detail, color, and design, all sales are final. For sake of clarity, any returns or refunds are at the sole discretion of Bouclier.
Returns or Exchanges
I am sorry that I cannot accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations once an order has been placed and production has begun because your commissioned pieces are made to order for you. This policy reflects the bespoke nature of our heirloom-quality leather goods, which cannot be resold or repurposed due to their custom craftsmanship.
Exceptions for Manufacturing Defects or Damage
In the rare event that your item arrives damaged because we have clearly failed to properly pack your order, or contains a genuine manufacturing defect (not including natural variations in leather grain, patina development, or minor handmade imperfections that add to its character and authenticity), please contact us within 24 hours of receipt via the contact form below stating your order number and please provide clear photos of the issue. I take these matters extremely seriously.
We will review your case promptly and, at our discretion, may offer a repair, replacement, or refund if the claim is validated. Please note that normal wear, improper care, or changes in personal preference do not qualify as is also the case with damage in transit caused by any delivery or logistics company.
In the case that a refund is to be provided, it will only be processed upon receipt of the product after the necessary checks to ensure that the product is in the same condition that it left the hands of Bouclier or is in such a condition that comports with the modality of the claimed cause of any damage.
We will make any refund payments using the same method as the payment for the goods ordered. The credit card used to pay will be the card that gets the refund and the bank account from which a wire transfer was made will be the bank account that receives the refund.
All refunds will be made in Hong Kong dollars only. If you made payment via your local currency (i.e., a currency other than Hong Kong dollars) through your credit card or payment intermediary that intermediary or card issuer may convert your refund back to your local currency. You acknowledge and agree that this may result in additional fees being charged to you by your payment intermediary or card issuer (such as foreign currency / transaction fees, currency exchange fees and so on), and the amount of refund you receive in your local currency may differ from the original amount paid in your local currency due to exchange rate fluctuations between the time of purchase and refund. Please make enquiries of your own payment intermediary or card issuer for the additional fees that they charge.
Order Cancellation
If leather hides are not in stock and are ordered specially for your order, that order cannot be cancelled; otherwise orders may be canceled only before production begins. Once work has started (typically within 24–48 hours of order confirmation), cancellation is not possible.
We encourage you to review product descriptions, dimensions, leather details, and care instructions carefully before purchasing to ensure the piece aligns with your expectations.
