Serendipitous Discoveries

These are singular buckles—rare finds and treasures discovered over time and sometimes in the unlikeliest of places. Since I live in Asia and travel quite frequently, I have the opportunity to explore and acquire unusual pieces and objets d'arts. These buckles represent pieces I acquire when fortune aligns with discerning taste. Each is selected for its unique character and potential to elevate a leather project.

From tucked-away boutiques in the lanes of Hong Kong, to the bohemian alleys of Shimokitazawa and the quieter corners of Ota-ku in Tokyo, open-air market stalls amid the fields of Grunwald in Poland’s Warmian-Masurian region, and the alpine flea markets of Saint-Gervais-les-Bains in the French Alps—I remain ceaselessly in pursuit of extraordinary, one-of-a-kind discoveries.

These particular items are good examples of such  discoveries: singular pieces I have kept reserved, awaiting the right moment and the ideal pairing.
