About Bouclier

Brand Story
Atelier Bouclier is my personal atelier in Hong Kong. It was born from a passion for leather, craftsmanship, and thoughtful design.
Every item is made entirely by hand, using carefully selected leathers and ethically sourced materials from France, Italy, England, Japan, and the United States.
I specialize in heirloom-quality hand-stitched leather goods glasses cases that protect your eyewear with style, hand-dyed belts that carry the spirit of the sea, the subtlety of nature or the cosmopolitanism of the city, refined travel essentials, outdoor accessories that blend refinement with adventure, and timeless bags that merge art with every day use.
In a world of fast fashion and disposable objects, Atelier Bouclier stands for refinement, excellence and permanence.

At Bouclier, true value lies not in ostentation, but in superior craftsmanship and refinement — the quiet confidence of something made with intention. I believe a piece should not only last a lifetime, but grow more beautiful with use.
Whether you seek understated elegance or a bolder statement — such as the hand-riveted rhinestone-studded B-Sparkle belt or an etui — each Bouclier creation is more than an accessory. It is something crafted to protect, elevate, and endure.
Every piece begins with respect for the material itself. Leather is not merely used, but understood and transformed through patient, human hands. All Bouclier pieces are entirely handcrafted. No mass production, no shortcuts.
The techniques include:
-
Precise hand-stitching with waxed thread, executed stitch-by-stitch for strength and elegance. More delicate pieces use waxed linen thread; stronger items use high-quality bonded and waxed polyester thread.
-
Meticulous edge finishing — hand-painted or burnished and polished to a satin sheen.
-
Thoughtful hand-dyeing in layered applications, as seen in the oceanic-inspired turquoise belts where colour is built gradually to create living depth.
-
Delicate hand-riveting for embellishments such as our signature rhinestone studs, each one set individually.
Special commissions receive the same care and time. I invest whatever is needed to maintain integrity and beauty without compromise.
I also choose materials with care: leather that is biodegradable and produced with respect for the environment, and hardware made from solid brass, copper or stainless steel chosen for longevity. Where required, leathers come with CITES documentation.
In an era of fast fashion, Bouclier takes the slow path — using materials that last, techniques that endure, and creating pieces designed to become heirlooms.
When you own a Bouclier creation, it is not just leather, thread and metal. It is years of artisanal knowledge distilled into something personal — something profoundly yours.
Thank you for taking the time to discover my work. I hope you find something here that speaks to you.
